Kensington Gardens
Covering an area of 275 acres, Kensington Gardens is located adjacent to Hyde Park. The park was previously recognized as a private garden of the Kensington Palace in London. Majority of the garden belong to Westminster while a small section is in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
Designed by Henry Wise and Charles Bridgeman, Kensington Gardens was designed in the period of 1728-1738. Elegance and glamour to the garden has been added with its design which includes the round pond, sunken Dutch garden, ornamental flower beds and formal avenues.

The Serpentine Gallery and the Elfin Oak are also other public attractions in the garden. Kensington garden is also the famous setting of the book “Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens” by of J.M. Barrie. Peter Pan statue in Kensington Gardens is built to commemorate both the book and the character.
