Blow your date away with astounding views, or a romantic stroll around the city, A show up in West End, or snuggle up in a cosy pub or soak up some culture. No matter how you spend your day, rest assured there will be romance in the air this Valentine’s!

Treat your partner and yourself to a special view with many London restaurants taking advantage of their prime location near London's river Thames. London’s Oxo Tower Restaurant, Bar and Brasserie, eight floors above the south bank, offering fine dining and a great view, as does Royal Festival Hall's Skylon.

Cheaper options include a wander further down the Thames where you'll find establishments such as Dim T and Strada. Or get up close to the river with the Bataeux London cruise, champagne, a four-course meal and live entertainment all inclusive.

After the romantic meal, going for a stroll would set the scene, even in the harsh of the winter weather. Wrap up warm and walk arm-in-arm taking in the beauty surrounding the river Thames. Wander at the winter display at Kew Gardens or take some time to relax in one of London’s many royal parks.

Hyde Park is a perfect place to settle or a while, and with the park's thousands of trees, meadow, lake, Rose Gardens, and famous Peter Pan statue in Kensington Gardens, it's easy to forget Central London is just around the corner. For a touch of romance and culture, see an opera performed at London's Royal Opera House, the scene of untold fairy-tale romances.
